4 stars Not to criticize anyone's opinion but it seems like if one wanted to hear Pink Floyd they would pick up a Pink Floyd album, and obviously David was not attempting to do anything along the lines of Pink Floyd with this album, even though there are some inescapable similarities like the voice, the solos, and the mellow atmosphere but I really feel as if David is very happy these days and I'm glad for that. But being that he was a key member to Pink Floyd, a typically depressing band, I find it fascinating that he has not lost the ability to create musical a atmosphere that will hypnotize the listener; (when I close my eyes). If anything, he has gotten better. This definetly is not comparable to any Pink Floyd albums, and though I am a huge Floyd fan I feel like that makes this album even more impressive. There is no stunning musicianship here, but there are many emotional performances, and possilbly the best production quality I have ever heard. I give this 4.5 stars. Well worth the purchase.

"I wont go down easy, that's not my style." -David Gilmour
