3 stars Released in 1977 RAIN DANCES reminds me a lot of I CAN SEE YOUR HOUSE FROM HERE and even BREATHLESS. Kind of a transition album between the prog of MOONMADNESS and SNOW GOOSE before the 80's changed the band and finally brought them to the subpar and forgettable album THE SINGLE FACTOR. The main tracks for me are the 1st two, "First Light" and "Metrognome" both classic Camel songs. The rest gets kind of boring to me quickly. I would put this maybe 5th or 6th on my Camel favorite album list, somewhere around BREATHLESS. 3 solid stars however for this release.
