2 stars In my time the oponents of the prog rock used to dismiss some of its artists as those "intellectual snobs who do not know how to write a decent song but instead like to jerk off their instruments on stage" or something like that. While being a narrow- minded approach, it certainly stands for quite a few of the artists found under prog label. "Birth Control Live" brings extended concert versions of their better known tracks, but I don't see anything worth of the attention. Endless and aimless solos, boring play and not very good sound brings this album down the rating scale. Trust me, I even tried to listen through the 20 minutes "Gamma Ray" once! And what's that rediculuos cover of standard "Long Tall Sally"? This is only for BC fans!
