2 stars The first of three studio albums (a fourth is rumored to come soon) from SWaters after he left Pink Floyd. As much of his music after PF, this album lacks musically and is a little confusing. Perhaps wierd is the best word.

Apperently based on a nightmare Waters hadduring the era of "Animals" he presented a demo of this album and another one (The Wall) to the band. Thank God they chose the Wall. Even with Gilmour this album would still have failed.

While being a bit lighter than the "Final Cut", this album lacks the lyrical beauty the previous album had. Here the lyrics are a bit bizzare and uncomfortable at first. But given a few listens the album isn't bad.

Like most of his music, Waters has a unique way of writing lyrics, hard to explain, but I guess it's a bit more direct and concrete approach with a lot of symbals. Like I said, hard to explain

There are two songs here that are worth hearing "The Pros and Cons of Hitchiking" and "Every Stranger's Eyes".

Outside of those, there's not much to this album and I would look at "Amused to Death" first
