2 stars By the true definition of the rating system here, this is 2-stars. If you have Nightcap, you don't need this. If you don't have Nightcap, get that instead of this. Nightcap was an exclusive, limited edition (and expensive) import when it got a hold of it here in the USA in 1993. But looking at the US Amazon site, it appears to be readily available nowadays. The tracks here are on disc two of Nightcap.

Not talking about the "Living in the Past" cuts, musically, most of these tracks are "pretty good" at 3.5 stars each with two exceptions. "I Don't Want to be Me" is 2 stars... just not very good with an anemic pace, anemic backing vocals and a forced, out of place penny whistle over the chorus.

The HIGHLIGHT here is "Man of Principle" (again, you can get this on Nightcap). Starting with a cool quote of Bach's Fugue from the famous Toccata and Fugue in D-minor, this is one of my favorite tracks from their late 80s "come back". It is hands down my favorite thing they recorded during the Rock Island sessions. For some of you, that's not saying much, but it's a great song. Really.
