5 stars An excellent piece of psychedelic rock. Every song has its strengths and no weaknesses. First the opener, "Let There Be More Light". A terrific bass riff, with excellent spacey effects and vocals. "Remember A Day" is one of Rick Wright's best songs, good effects in that one. "Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun" is an ultimate classic. Everything about it is extraordinary. "Corporal Clegg" is yet another one of the Floyd's best war songs. The effects are strong in that too. The title song, "A Saucerful of Secrets" is a 100% awesome listen for those who crave creepy, psychic songs. A 12 minute instrumental with everything you'd like. Ghostly sounds, guitar effects, and the charming last part, "Celestial Voices". Hearing that feels like you're in heaven. Finally, Rick Wright's "See-Saw" is another good listen for the psychic listeners as is "Jugband Blues". It pretty much sums up Syd Barrett's fall into oblivion, with haunting lyrics such as..."I'm much obiliged for making it clear that I'm not here". Overall, if you are one who seeks psychedelia at it's best, pick this up immediately. It's an ultimate masterpiece.
