3 stars I grew up with Alan Parson and still find the music fun to listen to. Turn of a friendly card is a nice album with songs that does not demand much of the listener. Personally I would not rank this as progressive. It's simply nicely executed rock-pop from the early 80's. I take it out perhaps 10-15 times a year and play it while in my mind reliving that period of my life.

As in most of the work by mr Parson everything is perfect, almost to perfect. I know of few records that sounds so obviously "studio" as the ones by Parson. Note however that this does not necessary have to be a bad thing.

Yes I like it. I like it enouh to give it 3 stars, but I would never claim this to be an important contribution to the prog scene.
