THE DIVISION BELL

Some people consider this another weak effort while others claim this is on almost as good as their best albums. I think it's better than their previous effort, but far from a classic. There are some good songs here such as the U2-styled "Take It Back", and the closer "High Hopes". The nice instrumental "Marooned", "Lost For Words" and the "Have A Cigar" clone "What Do You Want From Me" are smaller highlights, while "Wearing The Inside Out" is the worst song. It's not very innovative either: there are many references to their glorious 70s stuff but it's more entertaining than their previous album and has a better atmosphere, although it's a bit too "new age"-ish for a Pink Floyd album. Many people may like it.
