3 stars 3 1/2 stars, really!

Okay, so this band and album REALLY sounds like PG Genesis. So what? They do a fantastic job with beautiful melodies and nice arrangements. Overall a quite good find of an album, though I would never call it a masterpiece. It is a shame this band was unable to continue on and find their own sound and create a masterpiece of their own. They certainly sound like they had it in them. In any case, don't expect something totally original and you won't be dissapointed, especially if you are a fan of groups that sound like a continuation of PG Genesis (what can I say? these types of bands are a guilty pleasure for me). I want to give it 4 stars, but feel that in the scope of this site I can only reallly give it 3 1/2. Since that score is not an option, I give it 3. But I think it could be considered essential if you love early Genesis and want to hear more music done well in that style.
