4 stars i always classified the discography of PINK FLOYD in eras, first the Barrett's era (Piper), then the Pink Floyd era (more-animals), the waters era (the wall-final cut), adn the Gilmour era (momentary lapse of reason and division bell). but, Saucerful, it's between the two firsts. Saucerful is the transition, the only album in the whole discography of PF in which participate the 5 musicians!!. Barrett left the band before this recording. "Let there be more light" what a fabulous piece, "Set the controls for the heart of the sun" and of course "Saucerful of secrets), the last two, had fabulous performances in the legendary concert "Pink Floyd live at Pompeii". anyway, after this, Barrett left Pink Floyd and he never come back, so the era of classic Pink Floyd (Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright) begins in the next album "More", but the work made in this, it's one of the most wonderful works of PF, and i had to say that (i think), this album have the better cover in the complete rock history of the world.
