Perhaps is was Brian Eno's involvement, but this album sounds unlike anything else they ever did. The production reveals a 'space' and 'depth' in the sound that was totally lacking on Foxtrot and to some degree 'England'.

The Band get lost mid-way through side 3, but this is still a wonderful record, which sounds as fresh now as the day it was made.
