Never understood why this album is rated so highly. Musically I find it to be of variable quality; In The Cage, Carpet Crawlers and Lilywhite Lilith are my favourite tracks. Apparently Gabriel threatened to do this as a solo album if the other's wouldn't accept it for a Genesis and in my opinion the playing feels half-hearted in places .

Patchy, I only give it three stars as I believe it is best to aim for the stars, even if.....
