Not ugly like compilation. However i have the doubt that someone have wanted to earn with the myth of New Trolls. The songs are all of the classics of the group and to some part case are all vouchers. Certainly I can advise this compilation to who does not know the New Trolls and wants to begin to know this myth. The other calmly they cannot possess it.

3 stars A Proto Prog compilation with some POP songs.

New Trolls with I Quelli (then PFM), I Sagittari (then Delirium), Le Orme (pre 1970), I GiGanti and I Califfi are great Proto Prog bands that have invented RPI. In my opinion New Trolls and I Quelli was the more close to full Prog bands in Proto Prog phase of career. This compilation is a perfect mix between Proto Prog and POP phase of success with some full Prog songs. The sound is various: in general soft but it is the reflection of general sound of genre, so the POP songs are not personal, for sound and style, as Proto Prog and Prog songs are between the few original italian style songs and not copies of English style with italian elements.

In general, this is the truth, this is not a great compilation. Certainly one of the best compilation of New Trolls.
