3 stars I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a Neal Morse CD in a local charity shop! For just 2! Wow! Of course at the time I didn't suspect it was a Christian album, despite the title of the album. But I'm actually glad I picked it up because it introduced me to a style of music I hadn't really paid much attention to beforehand.

I've been a Christian my whole life, and had my confirmation in 1998. However, although I believe in God, and have no problem with people knowing it, I don't go to Church, nor do I say my prayers every night. But this album has helped me get a better understanding of the power of God.

The problem I find with this sort of music is most people's ignorance towards it. Most people will probably just get all hostile and be all 'I don't need this guy preaching to me', but that's where they're wrong. Neal Morse isn't preaching to anyone. He isn't telling us what to do. He isn't telling us to go to Church. He isn't telling us to start believing in God. All he's doing is singing about his own love for God. And the main thing I find with these songs is that they're all so lively and full of energy that it's easy to find the appeal in having faith.

Now before I start coming across as some kind of preacher myself, let's look at the music. First off, it's not Progressive Rock in any way, which is something you'd come to expect from Neal Morse, best known for his work with Spock's Beard. Although there are some moments in here that sound very much like the Beard, so if you can tolerate the religious themes, then you might find some nice gems in here. Especially songs like 'King of Love', 'Love Like You' and 'Sing My Love' (see any recurring patterns here?).

Overall, this isn't the kind of album I'd rant and rave about, and it's not the kind of music I'd usually put on, but as a one-off this is a great album, and if you believe in God then it's definitely worth listening to.

4 stars I am a big fan of Neal Morse, either in Transatlantic, Spocks Beard or in or on his wonderful solo career, which is quite prolific.I say this beyond because of his albums "prog" (Testimony, One,?, Sola Scriptura ,Lifeline and now Testimony 2), he has released several albums of worship, community-oriented gospel.

"God will not give up" is the first album that I worship him listen. And i can say :is wonderful! Neal Morse did not disappoint me! The music here is not progressive, of course, but sometimes you can similarities with their albums "prog" and with Spocks Beard.

My favorite songs here are "King of Love"( because of his amazing bass line),"The crossroads" and the title-track(his chorus is divine!).

5 stars:King of Love,The crossroads,God wont give up

4 stars:Save my life tonight,Love like you,Mountain,Johns Dream,See what God can do

3 stars:I sing my love,His mercy endureth

4,1 stars .For those open-minded and free from religious prejudices, I recommend this album.
