3 stars Here we have two gentle songs of the DROSSELBART eponymous debut released as a single. Dedicated to Mono Gunia aka Jemima who was a member of the band and also a popular female opera and studio vocalist. The native vocals are expressive like similiar german bands for example DR. WOLFFF or EULENSPYGEL which intended to deliver a political message but the lyrics are transfigured and full of metaphors this time.

The band blends psychedelic, classic and folk elements in a successful manner. You van hear nice polyphonic vocals with the first song which has a charming melody. Jemima cares for a special opera feeling. The melancholic ode to Jesus Du bist der eine Weg is composed with cembalo and flute which brings up a strong folk mood first. But DROSSELBART also forms an interesting contrast later on with psych guitars and a more powerful rhythm section.

A good excerpt of the band's debut album - 3.5 stars.
