3 stars Polish band Signal to Noise Ratio sure know how to make music that is distinctly uncommercial.

They go back to the 70's for their main inspirations, with psychedelic rock as well as krautrock as major influences. The band adds some jazz influences to their tunes as well, in particular to the drumming, and have a tendency to create songs with disharmonies and even cacaphonic tendencies at times.

Add some modern synths, samples and sounds too - and you get a rather eclectic mix that is rather challenging to listen to; fascinating and intriguing when it works but frustrating and slightly annoying when it doesn't.

All in all a mixed affair, and one that should have it's strongest appeal to people into early 70's psychedelic rock and krautrock.
