4 stars A twin album to AN EVENING WITH HERBIE HANCOCK & CHICK COREA: IN CONCERT ,recorded during the same February 1978 tour, is released under different name and at different label because of marketing purposes. There are two same songs on both of them (with different timings), and four others are different.

Both albums are not jazz fusion at all, and even are only partial jazz. It is acoustic piano duets of two greatest jazz fusion pianists of out time, but with accent on classic sound. And if there is only one real classic composition (Bella Bartok) on "CoreaHancock" album, almost all music, composed by Hancock or Corea, sounds played in a very classic manner there.

Musicianship itself is of highest level! Great emotional duets are scented by jazz lightness in many places, and sound serious, dramatic and playful at the same time. Rare combination and rare possibility to hear two grands in acoustic duet showing their greatest musical skills.

Very recommended for all lovers of classic and chamber jazz, but for those with hate to classic should be avoided.
