2 stars Dreamland was an album that I looked forward listening to, considering that the previous two albums from Phrozenlight were great. Unfortunately, the first track, "Spirit is traveling Far Into the Caves of Dreamland", was 17 minutes of the certain uneventful droning ambient that I don't care for. No interesting effects, no beautiful experiments thrown into the mix, nothing besides a long constant drone that seems to neither progress nor end. "Endless Morphing" is the only track that I really found to be a little enjoyable, and it sounds mostly like an abandoned choir hall and includes some other-worldly squeals that sound like alien-ghosts, if there ever were such things.

Okay, unfortunately not a great as the last two albums, but again - when someone records this much music there are bound to be duds. Anything free is always worth checking out, and this is no exception.

3 stars My feelings about this album are in contrast. Technically speakig it's a drone going nowhere, you can't know which track you are listening to as they are all almost the same. On the other hand, looking at the album and at the track titles, the artist's intention was to create a daydream soundscape. This should be the soundtrack of a sleeping person while dreaming, and in this sense he succeeds.

The influence of the early TANGERINE DREAM is huge, in particular the title track ican be seen as an expansion of some parts of ZEIT. So, to like it or not to like it? This is the problem.

Well, in my current mind state I like it but I can't suggest others to buy it. This music (better, these sounds) can help meditation, can provoke daydreaming, if you are i this kind of mood its fine. Give it a try. Set yourself into a starship travelling deep space or walking into a dark forest or whatever fantasy you like. But if you aren't in a minde state like this, the only track which can give you something is "Endless Morphing", with "ooh" sounds in the background and a resemblance of chords.

I'm in a 3 stars mood for it, but honestly it's a 2.5.
