1 stars First review again? OK, I can guess why.

This is not an album but a bunch of older songs and some new ones probably (I'm in doubt because I think not even GANDALF himself can tell his pieces one from another). The sound got poppier - electrodrums, almost no guitars and NO ATMOSPHERE this time. Its like GANDALF finally realised that he overfilled the world with his albums and decided to over-overfilled it - "here you go! another compilation!" Thanks, but no. This music evokes strong desire to listen to something more energetic and focused - CRADLE OF FILTH, for example.

Not recommended.Only for GANDALF's completitions if there are ones

4 stars This the second compilation album in a then 10 year old career of Gandalf. It contains the most popular tracks from the previous 4 studio albums, from a period when Gandalf went for a more electronic oriented sound than before. This period sometimes suffers from reusing structures from one album to another but these usually fill the gaps between great compositions but don't worry, you won't find this selection repetitious at all. Some tracks are excerpts or slightly different remixed versions of the original, those are marked as single edit.

This album is a nice chance to get some taste of Gandalf's late 80's work; although it has the common problem of compilation albums as it contains the most popular tracks not the best ones.

However, this album has its own atmosphere and contains some of the most beautiful Gandalf compositions ever made such as "The River Of Permanent Changes" or "Gate To Infinity".

Worthwhile, but there are better original studio albums from the early 80's...
