Intriguing experiment in laying open the Art Bears treasury of sounds to allow other acts to have a pass at remixing, revamping, revising, and otherwise reinterpreting the material. Intriguing, but good golly is it long; perhaps a really strong single-disc album could have resulted with a little more editorial rigour. It also falls between two stools somewhat - generally, the reimagined material is so strikingly different in style and presentation that if you wanted to actually revisit the Bears' own output, you'd be better off just putting the new album on, yet it also doesn't feel like a brilliant way to get to know the other artists who offer their interpretations because, of course, they're all relying on Art Bears material. Interesting if you're big into this corner of the RIO field as it existed in the early 2000s, but inessential.
