Review by Guillermo
3 stars I saw this DVD twice, as one of my brothers bought it maybe 4 years ago.

The first part of this DVD has one concert filmed at Wembley Stadium in 1978, during the "Out of the Blue" tour, with the band using the "Spacecraft" design on stage. That "Spacecraft" first appeared in the cover design of their "Out of the Blue" album from 1977.

In this concert DVD, they included their biggest hits, taken mainly from the "New World Record" and "Out of the Blue" albums, plus "Showdown" from the "On the Third Day" album and "Roll Over Beethoven" from the "ELO2" album. I could see why Jeff Lynne didn`t like doing tours and releasing live albums: the band couldn`t reproduce on stage all the arrangements and sound effects done in the studio. I also saw that they used some tapes to reproduce some backing vocals and some instruments and sound effects. It was very clear for me to hear and to see the difference between the studio and the live versions of the songs. But it is a good concert video. It is funny to see their energy on stage, mainly in the part of the strings section, moving from side to side on the stage with the cellos and the violin. Kelly Groucutt also had a very good voice, sounding very well with Jeff Lynne`s vocals. It is also funny to see Kelly sing the "female opera vocals" of "Rockaria". The qualities of the sound and the video are good, but not very good, being recorded in the 70s.

The second part of this DVD has promotional videos recorded for the "Discovery" album in 1979. They were doing playback to the studio versions. My favourite of all these promotional videos is "Last Train to London", which is really a song more inspired by Disco Music, but it has a very good synthesizer solo played by Richard Tandy.
