3 stars Like any other Petrus Castrus releases, this is but a good but non-essential album - that is, if you can find it at all... Consisting of only two short tracks, this single released in 1977 is an interesting short piece whose content could easily fit into their album "Mestre".

Title track "Cândida" is an upbeat tune allthoug not to happy in context (the lyrics of the song refer to a man's desire to escape from his pushy wife Cândida and flee to Brazil), and quite pop-oriented with a slight touch of Bossa Nova. It's actually a very amusing track to listen.

The second track ("No Concelho de Cá") is a straightforward, full throtle Symphonic Rock piece, with great keyboards harmonies, electric piano and electric guitar. The theme is once again the deficiencies of the country and the apparent inactivity of the Portuguese (minimized to take place in a small constituency).

Like I said, it's just a pity the whole thing comes just under 7 minutes. Perhaps they will be made present in a possible CD edition of "Mestre".
