Rather good EP from Radiohead. There There features of course the track of the same name, which is no less than one of the best moments from Hail the Thief with its catchy vocals and guitars and its increasgingly dark frightening ambiance. The B-Sides are also very original and different from the album's music as they are more electronic driven, as in Amnesiac and Kid A. Let us see them.

Paperbag Writer opens with a disturbing violin to evolve with ethereal vocals, a punchy trip- hop beat and an efficient funky bass. This track has echoes from The Gloaming and could have well featured in a David Cronenberg's movie. Very dark and interesting. The second B- Side, Where Bluebirds Fly, may be one of Radiohead's most experimental piece, in the vein of Kid A. Upbeat electronic sparkles introduce a dark synthetizer theme. At this moment, one can ask himself if he is not listening to an Aphex Twin song. But the floating vocals of hom are immediately recognizable. A pretty ambient and mysterious track.

There There should please all Radiohead fans into Kid A and Hail to the Thief. A quite enjoyable record, but it could drive you into madness if you listen to it too often...

Another single taken from their 2003 studio album "Hail to the Thief" but a little more interesting than "Go to Sleep" which I've previously reviewed. This single CD features also 3 songs, and a total time of 13 minutes.

The first song is of course "There There", you already know it, it is an excellent song actually opening with some drums work and little by little progressing, the guitars appear and later the vocals, the song is very special because it is catching your attention while it's playing, the last part is exceptional with some kind of eruption, one of the best HttT songs without a doubt, and in my opinion an excellent choice to make it a single.

The next song is entitled "Paperbag Writer" is an experimental song, and very attractive to my ears, it has some kind of electronic trip-hop elements, it has a violin sound though I believe it was created with synths, the vocals sound "hidden" I mean there is a effect that provokes it, hope you get my point, then the song makes a little stop and seconds later starts again, it has a dark sound on it, very nice.

The last one is "Where Bluebirds Fly" which I first discover in their Com Lag EP, and which I really like; following the same electronic line as the previous song, this track is also very experimental and interesting, the atmosphere and mood created is awesome, it's a pity that it lasts only 4 minutes because I really enjoy it, it does not have lyrics, but it does have some vocals here and there, listen to it with headphones, you will be pleased.

This single album is better than Go to Sleep, is more interesting and I would like to give it 3 stars, but anyway I believe it is also just for fans, so 2 stars it is a more accurate rating.
