Review by Sean Trane
SPECIAL COLLABORATOR Prog Folk
3 stars Cecilia::Eyes' second album is continuing much on the same musical path as its predecessor, but in terms of album preparation, the group managed a very interesting booklet where you can make your story take the path you wish and programs the tracks in the order you decided in the story you wrote. However, besides this kind of novelty (had never seen this before), Mountain Tops is just another typical post rock album, neither better nor worse than the hundreds of so

Starting on frightening lugubrious noises, Flags quickly rises to its cruising speed, and the following tracks bring little more, the fourth One Million Whales being a rework of a track from their first album. Standing out sonically-speaking is the slower and less "noisy" 9-mins Song For Alda (drummer's new wife's name) and the 12-mins Peter Star, a drummer's fest.

Just another post rock album, but this time with an interesting twist in the booklet, (in the genre, the booklet is usually anything but seriously taken), but otherwise, even with the slight tracks' sonic differences, there is absolutely nothing new under the sun.
