4 stars Ooohhh, those were the days! My 16 year old cousin had this EP and used to hear it all the time. At the time I was too young to understand why she was so fanatical for those guys. After all, at 7 I thought the Beatles were just funny cartoon characters on the TV, werenīt they? It was only in the mid seventies that I pick up her Beatle records and started to rediscover their music. And the songs that appear in this EP were among my favourites.

Wonderful vocal harmonies, great songwriting, tight musicianship, different chord changes (for the time, thanks to the guitar talents of mr. Harrison) and a cheerful sound that still makes me smile even today. Their music was getting more complex and personal at this stage. it is only interesting to see how special they were and how they sound fresh and beautiful after 40+ years. I guess we should thank producer George Martin too for such brilliant work together with those guys. Together they made such wonderful and groundbreaking records in such a short time span.

But really... I didnīt know that at the time. At 14 to me they meant only a rush of adrenalin and happiness. All in four short songs. And how we loved it!
