2 stars "The Unforgiven" is a single/EP release by US thrash metal/heavy metal act Metallica. The single/EP contains three tracks: The title track, the Sweet Savage cover "Killing Time" and a demo version of the title track.

"Killing Time" is more readily available on the "Garage Inc. (1998)" compilation album and "The Unforgiven" is taken directly off the "Metallica (1991)" album so itīs actually only the demo version of "The Unforgiven" that really makes this purchase worth while. Metallicaīs version of the NWoBHM song "Killing Time" is powerful and as always bears witness to the fact that Metallica are great at covering other peopleīs songs. "The Unforgiven" is more than anything else a fan release and a 2 star rating is warranted.
