2 stars The golden road of Space Rock ... ?

THE SPIRITS OF THE EARTH are a heavy Space Rock project, formed by two spacemen, Tim and Kie. Regretfully most of Space Rock projects tend to be Hawkwind-copied ones indeed, but Tim and Kie can season the Hawkish style with (especially Kie's) heavy metallic riffs - keep their originality and uniqueness. From the beginning Psychic Attack they fully open the door toward the spirits of the earth. Impressive heavy and persistent palpitation by Tim's sticky bass shots and Kie's fatty (!) guitar pounds. Some spacey noises or effects around them can hardly ring our brain, mysteriously. That is, their beats should be very very eccentric and enthusiastic I imagine. Into The Ether ... oh what an ethereal title ... gets heavier and easily attacks our spacehead. Their dark and depressive voices are rather impressive like the vital spark. In the next track FHB their echoic and hypnotic treatment should be much effective. Obviously we can be thrown into trance by such a permanent persistent insistent heartbeat. Dreamy echoic voices can be much more eerie. The last album-titled track Not Coming Back may be slightly influenced by Stoner Rock with down-tempo style I guess (ah not so heavy though). In this last scene are not so cheerful sounds nor so emotional rescues ... but only flat and expressionless riffs. However, their aggressively intentional hell sounds must carry us out of the real world - the outer space constructed by THE SPIRITS OF THE EARTH.

In a sense fascinating we can say?
