4 stars "Schastiye dlya vseh" is the 3rd full-length studio album by Russian technical/progressive death metal act Beheaded Zombie. The album was released through BadMoodMan/Technical Sound in October 2009.

The music on the album is death metal with twisted dissonant riffs and jazzy sections/lead parts. The music and the growling are generally quite brutal but the progressive edge keeps the material intriguing throughout. I´d say Beheaded Zombie are more influenced by the early nineties Norwegian death metal scene than they are by Atheist, Cynic, Pestilence and Death, who I guess could be called the usual suspects when talking technical/progressive death metal. Acts like Darkthrone and Cadaver come to mind but it´s actually the equally obscure Norwegian tech/progressive death metal act Diskord and their "Doomscapes (2007)" album that I hear most references to. The lyrics are in Russian but if that poses a problem to you nevermind as the growling vocals are pretty much unintelligible. I guess really brutal growling is ultimately an universal language.

The 32:11 minutes long album is over before you know it, but it does leave a lasting impression and I found myself greatly entertained. The album has a suiting organic sound production, the musicianship are excellent and the songwriting of a pretty high quality, so if you enjoy technical/progressive death metal with a raw old school twist I can highly recommend a purchase of "Schastiye dlya vseh". A 3.5 - 4 star (75%) rating is deserved.
