3 stars This cdr was released directly from the band in 2000 and is the companion disc to the album "Upstairs Downstairs". It is a live album consisting of two tracks, the first of which is over 58 minutes long and it contains material from 6 different live concerts between 1995 and 1997.The final track is just over 10 minutes from a 1997 concert. There doesn't seem to be quite as much mellotron here as there usually is and I must admit that after hearing the amazing live disc "Knutsford In May" that this does pale in comparison.

I say all of this because I don't think RADIO MASSACRE INTERNATIONAL have put out a poor recording, they're all good, i'm just trying to justify the rare 3 star rating (instead of the usual 4 or 5 stars) from myself. I'm not quite sure what to think of Part One considering it is sort of spliced together and is almost an hour long. It's still a real trip of course and parts of it are amazing, especially the guitar and mellotron but there are also parts that drag for me. Part Two" is excellent although it doesn't vary much from it's spacey style, but I do like it more than Part One.

So a good live recording that shows what this band is all about. I just wouldn't start here.
