3 stars Debut album of Italian avant jazz-rock quartet. Very competent instrumental music, seriously influenced by guitar-led jamming bands from one side, more vintage jazz-rock bands from another side, and with obvious elements of Japanese-like modern avant.

Differently from many similar bands around, Tribraco is first of all jazz rock band. Plenty of guitars, sounding as borrowed from Zappa's jamming, some vintage, almost post bop sax notes in free jazz pieces, accent on melodies (as much as it's possible in such music), even swing under the skin!

As a result, very often this album sounds as "jazz-rock band went avant" release. Some bluesy and punk elements are presented as well. Really nice music for fans of long guitars (often- scratching) soloing, jazzy sound, vintage jazz-rock goes avant atmosphere. Interesting, but not not really essential avant prog album and at the same time not strong enough in instrumentation, improvs and musicianship for being first league jazz rock band. Something in between of two directions, good, but not very good.
