3 stars The music video collection - part 1

Bjork has an expansive collection of live and promo music videos, and the two-part "Volumen" series collected her video work from 1993-2002. "Volumen-Plus" had been issued for fans who had already purchased "Volumen," while the two were also condensed by a "Greatest Hits" DVD that included everything on one release. Obviously if you have not purchased either "Volumen" it would now be more convenient to get the "Greatest Hits" DVD and have everything on one disc. "Volumen" contained Bjork's music videos from the albums Debut through Homogenic while "Volumen-Plus" picked up the rest of the Homogenic videos through Vespertine. The promo videos are of a very high quality, as I mentioned Bjork has a Peter Gabriel level eye for crafting music videos. She worked with several talented directors and while I've no interest in going through each video, we range from Bjork expressing erotic feelings with an egg, riding through New York on the back of a flatbed truck, writhing under black light, and finally morphing into a polar bear. So yeah, Bjork videos are not boring. Each track is vivacious and lively as hell, visual feasts for those who enjoy conceptual music video. Recommended to all Bjork fans.
