3 stars Mattsson's latest album to date under his shortned name, (not to be confused with the albums under full name Lars Eric Mattsson), is Tango from 2010, of course issued on his label LionMusic. Same attitude as on previous releases under Mattsson name, progressive metal melted with symphonic metal touches here and there. Not bad at all, I like what I've heared here, very nice guitar work from Lars and aswell keybords done also by him like on Never Stand Down, The grand escape or on Tour De Force. A plus of greatness in compostions is made by Adrya aka Adrienn Antal, a natural born hungarian moved to Finlad. Her voice is fiting perfectly into this type of music, some vocal lines are very strong like on Never stand down. In the end I like Mattson guitar work, how he playes, all, maybe he is not one of the top composers in prog metal, for sure is one hell of a musician, with moderate succes worlwide. This is a good album, 3 stars for sure towards 3.5 in places, nothing is over the top, nothing is boring or bad aswel. Also , the cover art is excellent showing exactly what is inside the album.
