Review by The Truth
COLLABORATOR Honorary Collaborator
4 stars A truly stunning release, Blown Realms & Stalled Explosions is a satrical take a post-rock that uses great influences from the post-hardcore and post-punk scenes.

Enablers have really made a great record here, rusticly beautiful poetry spoken over mathy-sounding post-rock. This album has been sort of overlooked by prog fans as the band is prominently featured on punk rock sites. Don't be fooled, this is post-rock at it's best.

The real highlight is how emotionally Pete Simonelli releases those verse of poetry onto the record and the effect that it has when played over that bouncy, nervous post-rock is kind of surreal. A listen that can't really be explained in words.

For a sampler, two tracks are free on the band's bandcamp page and once you're drawn in, it's hard to let go. If you're like me, the second listen will come very shortly after the first because of how impressive this record is. Go ahead and try it out.
