2 stars Sleight of hand?

So let's see, you reckon the most famous song by BJH is "Mocking Bird", so you decide to name a compilation of their work by that title. Unfortunately, the original track is owned by another label, so what do you do? You include a live version of the track!

All the other tracks here are taken from BJH's post Harvest Label output. It's a rather haphazard collection with some of their best work ("Suicide", "Hymn", "Poor Man's moody blues") and a few which while pleasant, were not among their best ("Back in the game", "Love on the line" etc.).

If you're only looking for a budget way of obtaining a cross section of parts of BJH's output, this is a reasonable collection, otherwise, stick to the original albums.
