3 stars Excellent band from Holland named S.O.T.E. (Songs of the exile) formed around 1993 and releasing so far 3 albums with a plus on their second offer Time to end from 2003 who is considered their best, to me aswell. The music is quite demanding, a blend of heavy prog with prog metal , very eficinet melted and energic. Think about combining Rush energy with Psychotic Waltz progressive metal atmoshere the result is S.O.T.E. Very fine moments in vocal department and aswell the guitar leads are impressive most of the time made by Gerton Leijdekker who is both guitarist and vocalist. All pieces are more then ok, really great on many parts, I like 'em a lot. In the end a fairly solid album in prog metal field specially, gone under the radar. 3.5 stars for sure.
