2 stars Is there life on Mars? Yes!

Rick Wakeman played on the original versions of these two very well-known classic songs of David Bowie: Life On Mars and Space Oddity. Here, Wakeman performs these two songs again as instrumentals as a tribute to his recently departed friend. These piano versions are nice and have been performed in similar arrangement live by Wakeman in the past. It is a fitting tribute to the great Bowie, but it is nothing more than that. This single is worth a listen, but it isn't too exciting, and of course there is nothing progressive here to speak of.
