OBJECTS IN MOTION

This was love at first listen. A very well recorded album too as each instrument just sounds like it should in crystal clear sound. A four piece Jazz/Fusion band out of France of bass, drums, guitar and sax. Typically the guitar and sax will be the soloing instruments and they do that here but I really like how the sax brings a different texture to the sound here. I've been bashing a lot of sax players lately but this guy adds to the music instead of taking away from it like I've experienced lately.

One of my favourite moments on the album is when the drums kick in before 1 1/2minutes on the opener "Love Inspector". Great sound the rest of the way including the sax and check out the guitar before 6 minutes. "LNA" is such a cool tune with the drums, bass and prominent sax. This is all about that sax honking over top of the heaviness. "Flower Power" has these intricate sounds with beats as some huge bass lines kick in then sax. The sax really lets it rip until around 5 1/2 minutes then the guitar takes over and lights it up. "Spanish Blues" is quite heavy with so much going on as the sax solos over top. I just can't stop moving to this one.

Besides the opener I would say "The Art Of Eating Oysters" is the other track that makes my top two. A 9 1/2 minute trip with some spacey atmosphere early. The sax blends in almost adding that different texture like on the opener coincidently enough. Speaking of spacey we get that early on in the closer "Saint Malo". It starts to pick up and build with intricate sounds and bass. It's getting intense 2 1/2 minutes in then the sax joins in. A change before 5 minutes as the bass and drums thunder while the guitar gets inventive over top. Sax kicks back in sounding great.

Man I want to give this more, one of my favourite instrumental albums from 2016.
