4 stars LAMAGAIA are a Space Rock band out of Sweden and out of their first three releases this EP is by far my favourite. An over 28 minute track that grooves in the CAN tradition. Man I've never heard a band sound so much like CAN though and they just came up with the perfect groove for it. I mean I can't stop moving when this is playing and even my 22 year old son was moving to it and he doesn't like my music. It starts off quietly but turns louder after a minute as the bass joins in. We get bass, drums, guitar, organ, synths and effects over this 28 minutes as the groove stays the same but the flavour changes slightly throughout.

I really like when one of the four members starts whistling after 8 minutes, it just sounds so cool. Then just before 9 minutes we get vocals again bringing CAN to mind. This is great! They come and go ending around 12 minutes for now. Some distortion after 17 minutes then some growly sounds after 19 minutes. The vocals are back! Yay! Yes after 20 1/2 minutes they return. It picks up in pace just after he stops singing a minute later. It settles back again before 23 1/2 minutes. A calm after 27 minutes as that groove which has been going non stop since the beginning finally disappears as it turns haunting late to end it.

Without question 5 stars for this little piece of genius. CAN fans check it out!
