2 stars The crazy artist name CRUSHING MY PALMS BETWEEN THE GLASS SHARDS YOU GAVE ME is the one-man project of the Finnish musician Zero and is the perfect moniker within the over-the-top band name int he world of post-rock. Indeed this artist has become known for crafting an interesting fusionary effect in the context of post-rock.

This self-titled EP was CRUSHING's debut and only featured four really short tracks that just barely clocked in over 5 minutes playing time. No traces of post-rock on this one. This one is primarily tagged as emoviolence and noisecore with traces of screamo and math rock. It's pretty much a bantering mess of noise on this one though.

There's honestly nothing on here really to get excited about. It's like a few power chords bantering with excessive screaming and noisy buzzing surrounding the guitar stomps. It starts off with some spoken word samples in the vein of Godspeed You! Black Emperor along with some trippy ambient backdrop on the opening "Fuck You! Fuck You! Fuck You! I Hate You So Fucking Much" but then breaks into a heavy guitar and bass groove.

Basically track one is a two minute intro but then the middle two tracks are less than a minute each and pretty much continue the heavy punkish guitar style augmented by freaky atmospheres and screamo wails from beneath the din. Almost black metal like actually. The whole thing is over as quickly as it ends and never really goes anywhere. This little EP is fun for a five minute ride but ultimately seems pointless. CRUSHING Zero dude would do better.
