Westfauster biography
This obscure band released the album "In A King's Dream" in 1971. The music is Prog Rock with psychedelic and jazz tones and featuring flute. Despite their British influence with bands like MOODY BLUES and PROCOL HARUM, the band is from Cincinnati. The atmosphere of the music is dreamy with some delicate textures in their songs. The band is a trio with no guitars but the use of others instruments and the craft of the musicians is all you need to enjoy this 70's music.

Review by Beautiful Scarlet

4 stars So sweet!

Delicate vocals in an intimate mix lead these lovely tracks alongside flute (a bit of sax too). Aside from these are a mix of piano and what sound like some kind of Electronic Piano (Rock Si Chord?) then bass. Together the trio makes a great album with the ability to conjure folksy imagery in a very regal manner befitting progressive rock. Finally some of the instrumental sections are brief jazzy jams which is always for the better on this album.

Overall In A Kings Dream has a very lates 60s - early 70s "proto" - prog vibe so for anyone remotely interested in that era's offering should give Westfausters sole release a go.

Thanks to rdtprog for the artist addition.
