Rare Blend biography
RARE BLEND was a jazz rock group from Cleveland, Ohio formed in 1995 by Victor SAMALOT and Bobbi HOLT. The band started out as a duo in a local music production house in Cleveland where SAMALOT and HOLT wrote music together between projects, and this eventually resulted in their debut album 'Cinefusion' in 1995. In 1998 they expanded to a quartet and continued from there to be active on the local and regional circuit in live performances as something of a jam band mixing different genres and styles, but also regularly releasing albums as well which can be recommended to fans THE DREGS or progressive SANTANA for example. The group went on permanent hiatus in 2010, leaving behind them a couple of studio albums and a compilation of improvisational studio tracks and live takes from around 2007 that were taken from performances in Cleveland and Baltimore, both from concert gigs and tracks composed for the purposes of screening silent films.
