4 stars Excellent first lp for this very versatile Italian musician. Lots of well connected ideas coming from different musical genres: crossover prog and eclectic prog, Italian progressive rock, heavy prog, progressive metal and also shades of 90's pop (the second track "game over"). I think he takes inspiration from several artists among the mentioned genres, such as PFM-Cervello-Steven Wilson-Porcupine tree-Van Der Graaf Generator-Dream Theater. Andrea Perrotta is supported by many excellent musicians, and also his voice is pleasant and suitable for the musical genre. Very interesting studio album because it leaves us hopeful in a potential creative ability of the author. To be followed for future initiatives

4 stars Colourful progressive rock linked with modern heavy or pop, less authentic RPI-ish symphonic. An Italian creator Andrea PERROTTA born in Rome in 1973 has developed his musical background inspired by lots of rock artists like Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Neal Morse, especially Italian progressive like PFM or Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. This album "Irresistibili Distanze" was released in 2021 as his debut full-length album, filled with accessible pop / rock / heavy elements which have roots deeply in his soundscape. He says he has been influenced largely by Rock Progressivo Italiano, but this creation of his obviously involves his delightful melodic creativity based upon diverse artistic factors and pop cultures, not only RPI. Every single track has a good atmosphere and acceptable structure that can be assessed and approved by not only progressive rock audiences but orthodox pop / rock fans.

The departure "Puzzle" includes definite affinity amongst various musical essence. The first paragraph consists of bright, brilliant heavy rock components, followed by a sort of a decent pop-oriented appearance filled with humanity in the middle part. It sounds like he intentionally throws us somewhat energetic messages under such a hard situation all over the world. Also other songs possess edgy sides and smooth moments, fully empowered by his fantastic instrumental technique. Anyway "Preludio (Nel Mare Riflesso)" , launched by his heartwarming piano playing, sounds like a classical oasis for everybody. This shortest stuff shows his gentleness, I'm sure. The last suite "Velvet #21" is kinda awesome one. One of the most RPI-drenched tracks ever but this song cannot end up only with such a simple matter. So goodly featuring metallic, slowtempo melodic, catchy, and lyrical polarities, this masterpiece is full of crucial potentiality. Slightly symphonic texture and glamorous melodious approach remind us of old-fashioned RPI, and powerful heavy experimental attachments encourage us strongly. This track should mention all of his productivity, let me say.

"Irresistibili Distanze" has apparently amazed me as one of fascinating creations in 2021, for the debut album. We will look forward to his future prospects. Enjoy.
