Cloakwheel biography
CLOAKWHEEL is a young American progressive metal band formed in San Francisco in 2005 consisting of Vic C. (guitars, soundscapes), Marcus L. (vocals, guitars), Pete D. (drums, percussion) and John B. (bass). The band was formed when Vic and Pete left their old thrash band OFFERING to pursue something completely different.

In 2008, they self released their debut album "This Crooked Path You've Drawn."

CLOAKWHEEL were approved by the Prog Metal Team and are highly recommended. CLOAKWHEEL are similar in style to Finland's MALPRACTICE or Australia's VANISHING POINT.

3 stars Cloakwheel is an american progressive metal band who released so far a single album last year named This Crooked Path You've Drawn. Is very uptempo album with nice guitar riffs , but nothing grundbreaking or original to my ears, I have a hundreds of better prog metal albums then this . This band is simlar with prog metal band Malpractice from Finland or with Vanishing Point from Australia, same construnctions of the pieces, similar voice, almost same aproach to prog metal. The keys is missing here on this album, so to me is less intristing, because the atmosphre isa less great and is more like a concrete. Anyway a good album for sure but nothing realy impressive or over the top here. 2.5 rounded to 3
Thanks to b_olariu for the artist addition.
