Worm Ouroboros biography
Named after a heroic fantasy novel, WORM OUROBOROS is anything but epic fantasy metal, it's an atmospheric folk rock project with some minor intrusions of sludge/doom metal. The band consists of Lorraine RATH on bass and vocals, Jessica WAY on guitar and vocals, and Aesop DEKKER on drums. All members have various connections to the Bay Area underground music scene and are or have been involved with bands such as AMBER ASYLUM, THE GAULT, BARREN HARVEST, WORLD EATER, LUDICRA and AGALLOCH.

The music is soft and melancholic, consisting of long drawn out post-rock soundscapes with dreamy melodic female vocals. The atmosphere is dark but also gentle and intimate, only rarely breaking out into subdued heavy sludge/doom metal riffs.

The band recorded their self-titled debut album for Profound Lore Records in 2010 and has been seen on tour with AGALLOCH in the winter of 2010-2011.
