Toundra biography
TOUNDRA is a post-metal band from Madrid, Spain. They were formed in 2007 from the ashes of the hardcore band NACEN DE LAS CENIZAS, but they dropped the vocals in favour of the guitars, bass and drums. They released their self-titled debut in 2008, which was recorded by Carlos Santos (ex-TERRORISTARS) at Sandman Studios and produced at the Studio Tailor Maid in Sweden by Peter IN DE BETOU (ARCH ENEMY, OPETH). With the help of these professionals, the album managed to deliver the intensity of the highs and lows that characterizes the band.
At times they recall the instrumental side of bands like ISIS, NEUROSIS, PELICAN or MOGWAI. In 2010 "Toundra II" was released, which delivered to the promise of the debut.
