The Oscillation biography
Multi-instrumentalist and producer Demian Castellanos grew up in Cornwall, Venezuela and Manchester. Eventually he returned to London, where he was born, and formed THE OSCILLATION alongside with bassist Tom Relleen. Although working with other projects too the band has become Castellanos' main vehicle to consolidate his musical influences. Showing a notable emphasis on modern electronica the band's debut album 'Out Of Phase' saw the light of day in 2007, Jon Abbey on drums and keyboarder Mark Thomas are contributing.

The follower album 'Veils' (2011) appears rockier than its predecessor, this time featuring drummer Tim Weller and Chris Wackrow on keyboards and second guitar. The band's music showcases huge rolling guitar lines and intricate electronic sounds that scatter relatively simple song formats. Stylistically this is sometimes close to French outfit Turzi while comprising hints from indie/alternative, psychedelic, space and krautrock fields. Since the end of 2011 Valentina Magaletti is the new drummer.
