Ksiz biography
KSIZ is a band from Strasbourg, France comprised of the duo of Mathieu SPAETER on guitar and Jimmy PALLAGROSI on drums. Supported by a strong cast of session musicians the duo worked on and recorded their debut album "Sandcrawler" in 2007. The album consisted of instrumental pieces with a predominant metal approach that resembled the work of progressive rock giants like DREAM THEATER and PLANET X. Still, the album wasn't entirely on the metal side, featuring a mix various musical styles such as jazz, funk and jazz rock/fusion.

After five years KSIZ returned to the scene with the release of their second album "Nerve Of War". Published in 2012 on the Musea Parallèle label, the album follows a similar approach to music making as their debut release although with a more focused approach to the progressive metal genre. The inspiration and instrumental prowess was taken to new heights due to a guest-list of prominent progressive rock staples which included Derek SHERINIAN, Tom KENNEDY and Christophe GODIN. The album ends with a nearly-twenty-minutes epic-track which will definitely make fans of LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT quite happy for giving KSIZ a listen.
