17f biography
17f is a musical project made by Frederic MERK. He mostly plays guitar and sings since 1987 in various swiss bands. After some collaborations with Charlotte PARFOIS, Hemlock SMITH and GIRLS IN THE KITCHEN, he started to build something more personal.A first album called "Tree Of Them" was recorded at the end of 2010, and a second one two years later called "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" 2012.

His music is calm, melancholic and introspective. Influences are PINK FLOYD ("Animals"), AIR ("Virgin Suicide"), David BOWIE ("Low"), Sebastien TELLIER ("L'Incroyable Vérité"), The CURE ("17 Seconds"), THE WHITE BIRCHE ("Star is Just a Sun"), PORTRAIT OF DAVID ("These Days Are Hard to Ignore"). Jim HARRISON, Junichiro TANISAKI and Albert CAMUS are major influences too.
