Armon Kuilu biography
ARMON KUILU are an obscure Finnish rock cult that might have alighted upon the earth in 2000s. They have released an eponymous EP in 2008 via a Finnish independent label Totuuden Sarvi Levyt but no more info so far.

4 stars Black magic spelling, sung by an obscure Finnish cult commune, sounds like a mysterious symphonic art coloured with Kosmische-like experimentalism ... what have ARMON KUILU expressed upon a 19-minute dramatic theatre?

In the first untitled track ... the sound texture in the very beginning created with plaintive piano touches reminds me of "Inget Nytt Under Solen" but thick, deep but flat, inorganic voices as if to come from another dimension should break our first impression away in pieces ... exactly like a requiem. Quirky violin-based avantgarde / metallic volcanoes erupt with enthusiastic force, claiming crazy, infernal shouts and explosive quakes. Their dark ambience completes like the life end of an evanescent stick firework.

The second turn is more dramatic and more miserable like a tragic fantasy. One of the newest cursed ritual they can launch via their original soundscape, we can say. Like Eiliff's "Hallmasch", deep sound fragments brought by their heavy riffs and hell voices can be firstly stuck upon our surface and secondly squeezed into our mind ... namely, attraction or palpitation they throw. Guess we may not accept a transient symphonic heaven nor quiet sweetness but completely get immersed into their jet-black magic world.

Cannot avoid looking squarely at the monotonous Hades called by ARMON KUILU. Cannot help recommending as a new avantgarde progressive one.

Thanks to DamoXt7942 for the artist addition.
