Gozzozo biography
GOZZOZO was a jazz rock side project by drummer Alain GOZZO from the symphonic band ATOLL. GOZZO was helped by musicians which he met throughout his long musical career, some of them being band mates from ATOLL; another musician who led the project was Didier ERARD who was a member of an obscure prog rock band NEO and bass player Stuart HAMM is known for working with Joe SATRIANI. Recommended to fans of jazz rock/fusion with a touch of latin music.

— First review of this album —
3 stars Excellent this side project of the famous drumer from french symphonic prog band Atoll named Alain Gozzo. The band taken the name after him with the addition of zoo, meaning the colorfull arrangements of the pieces and I guess from the title tracks aswell. He release one single album in 1998 at Musea records named Pictures of the new world. The album is full of nice and smoothe jazz fusion arrangements with a lot to offer, keeping in mind that is helped by a real solid musicians, like Stuart Hamm on bass, Didier Erard on keyboards and a bunch of guest musicians with pedegree in music bussines and specially in progressive rock in last 20 years like Jean-Luc Thillot also from Atoll fame and Jean-Claude Rapin from Patrick Rondat fame( another french guitarist well known). So an album full of surprises, excellent musicianship and inventive arrangements. The music is a mix of jazz fusion, progressive rock with some latin moments here and there. The energy and ideas are high class, so another good album in this fields of jazz fusion. All pices are great, not a single moment is weak. So 3.5 for this album, that in my opinion is underrated and quite unnoticed by many listners.
Thanks to evolver for the artist addition.
